Got a digital camera?  We'd like to ask for photo contributions from any parishioner with a digital camera.  If you happen to be by the church at sunset or some magical time during construction or if something special is happening regarding construction and you're there...take some photos.  This will allow a more complete catalog of the construction period and give a little history to our young parish.  Chances are that at some point you will (and I won't) be at the church at just the right time for a good shot with children, workmen, clergymen...whatever!  Let's see some creativity!  We'll be taking shots weekly or monthly (boring but necessary), but if you see something special or unusual during our construction send it to us.

With over 2,400 potential families contributing we'd like to ask that you send only your BEST 2 or 3 photos at a time regarding the construction of our new Church. 

If you know how, use the software that came with your camera to resize the photos at 800x600 or less and save as medium-quality jpg.  Images in this format should be less than 100K.  If that just sounded like a foreign language...just send the photo.  Files larger than 5Mb will be rejected by our service.

E-mail your BEST couple of photos to - photos@blessedkateriparish.org and I'll catalog them for our archive and publish as many as possible.  Thanks, Bryan

April 7, 2007
"Our construction began with a bang, or should I say with water! On Good Friday, site preparation began and in the midst of the heavy equipment and bundles of concrete, a water line broke. It took most of the day to rectify the break. Good Friday services were celebrated with no running water, including no bathrooms. By 4:30 p.m., we were up and running again - just in time for Easter weekend!  

The following are the tasks that have been completed or are in progress:
 
· Pre-grading inspection by City Inspector.
· Pot-hole subsoil investigation.
· Survey – Construction Staking.
· Saw cutting and demo.
· Pre – Water of site.
 
For the next coming week the following will be started.
 
· Installation of shoring piles.
· Site demo will continue including removal of part of site wall.
 
If you have any questions or comments feel free to contact me directly. Many parishioners are assisting with advice and comments and we encourage your involvement. After all, our Church is Yours and God’s House.
Let’s build GOD’S house.
